About Amy



Amy Lauren Smith is an internationally recognized health education consultant and curriculum specialist with over 15 years of experience working in international schools across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Based in Hong Kong, she currently serves as the High School Health Teacher and Schoolwide Health Coordinator at Hong Kong International School.

Amy partners with schools worldwide to design and implement skills-based health education programs that align with social-emotional learning (SEL), DEIJ principles, and 21st-century global competencies. Her consulting work focuses on:

  • Health curriculum alignment and development
  • Professional learning for educators
  • Whole-school wellness strategies
  • Mental health and media literacy education
  • Sexual health and consent education

 

She has worked with leading international schools including UWCSEA, Seoul Foreign School, UNIS Hanoi, ACS Abu Dhabi, and Jakarta Intercultural School.

Amy is a frequent presenter at global education conferences such as PHASE Asia Pacific, NESA, and EARCOS, and is the founder of The Health Teacher, a resource hub for health educators in international schools.
