I hope your year is off to a good start. If you’re receiving this email, it’s because you’ve attended one of my workshops on health education or whole school wellness in the past. While I don't usually send out mailers, there are exciting developments in the world of international school health education that I thought you may want to know about.
Below, you'll find some updates about what I've been up to lately, and exciting developments in the field.
We're plugging along in our health and well-being journey at HKIS, and have now gone from me being the sole health teacher to having a team of three! We now have a credited Health course in the high school and have reached the goals we set out when designing our strategic plan. 🙌
I know this work is needed at so many other schools around the world, so I'm looking to make a move! If your school is hoping to head out on a similar journey and is looking for a health teacher/coordinator for the 2026-2027 school year, please reach out.
This also means we'd be looking for someone to take my place, so if you're interested in teaching comprehensive health education in Hong Kong with a passionate team, please send me an email so we can chat.

PHASE Health & Well-Being Summit: Nov. 13-14, 2025
Coming up in November, I'll be hosting a Health & Well-being summit with two of the best in the biz, Holly Alperin and Sarah Benes, authors of The Essentials of Teaching Health Education.
This will be a chance for us to collaborate together with experts rather than having to work on our own. We're still looking for presenters to run breakout sessions. You can submit your idea directly on the site, or let me know if you have an idea you'd like to discuss.
